CarDiary automatically sends push notifications 7 days and 3 days before a tax expires.
Email notifications for tax expiry are also enabled by default and can be turned off in Settings.
For the best reliability, keep the app updated and stay signed in on your devices.
Yes. We notify you automatically before a tax expires.
It is recommended to also add a reminder in your device calendar when creating or editing the tax (use the calendar checkbox).
That way you have a backup reminder outside the app.
In rare cases (for example a temporary server issue or if your data is not synced), you might not be notified before a tax expires.
Use the app regularly so your taxes stay synchronized.
Consider enabling email notifications and calendar reminders as a backup.
Do not delete the old record. Add a new one with the new expiry date instead.
You do not need to wait for the old one to expire.
Once the new record exists, you will not get expiry notifications for the old one.

Open Employees from the PRO / Business section in the app or on the web.
Enter the employee’s CarDiary User ID (shown on their Profile) and tap Invite. The person must already have a CarDiary account.
They accept the invitation by email link or from Profile (Accept / Decline). After they join, you can choose which vehicles they can access.

Check that notifications are allowed for CarDiary in your phone settings.
Stay signed in and open the app from time to time so your data stays synced.
Also make sure tax expiry / reminder emails are enabled in Settings if you want email as a backup.
When you edit the tax and save a new expiry date, CarDiary recreates the payment record.
Notifications for the new date will be sent again (7 and 3 days before the updated expiry), as long as the new date is still in the future.
Open My Cars, choose the vehicle and start Transfer.
Enter the other user’s CarDiary User ID (shown on their Profile) and select which data to transfer.
After the transfer you will no longer have access to that vehicle.
You can create a reminder for a fixed mileage or a repeating mileage interval.
CarDiary tracks the vehicle’s current mileage and notifies you when you are close to or reach the target.
Keep the mileage updated when you add refuels or edit the car, so reminders stay accurate.
Open My Cars, open the actions for the vehicle you want and choose Set as main vehicle.
